Possible trip to Bremen away

Guys,

I know there are a lot of assumptions to bear in mind, but I thought id let you know.

I've booked flights, hotel, travel insurance for a trip to Bremen. Assuming we get there, and they get there, once the necessary fixtures have taken place the cost of flights etc will rocket so ive booked it now.

Its a very good deal if people are tempted to do the same thing. Flying with Ryanair from Manchester, a two night stay (29th - 1st), accomodation 1 mile from the ground, and travel insurance covering all forms of cancellation (in case we dont get there) just set me back £145. The flights were only £40 return.

Thought id pass it on as those prices will rocket soon.

Lets hope we get there.

Just gone to book on myself at that price but they are £124 now!!
 
You need to check the travel insurance conditions.

Insurance companies arent idiots & wont just pay out just because you dont fancy going any more coz we got knocked out.

Nearly all will only pay if you cant go for illness or injury, or road disruptions & public transport delays. They WILL require proof of this.
Also, some will pay compensation for replacement air fare to the same destination.

ps flights £27.50 return from Stansted!!

I looked at the small print on a few insurance sites, some of them as you say were as above, some had no stipulations so you have to be careful, but the one i booked was ok.
 
I can't see how an insurance company would payout based on a football result. Something like 95% of all insurance claims never payout....

Clearly you dont tell them it was for a football result. There isnt a stipulation for ill health, unemployment etc as some others do. If they ask, just tell them you cant get time off work. If they require your boss to confirm that im sure he\she would do.
 
just looked at flights m/c - bremen,going weds 29th,return 1st may,£61 with ryanair.as for insurance paying you if we dont get there,absolute bollocks!!
