Post Match Thread: City vs Everton

Fantastic. Night started badly. I didn't think we'd do it when barkley scored and the 1st half passed us by really apart from the Aguero shot that hit the post

2nd half was one way traffic. We really played well. Navas made a difference and then when it looked like we might have missed our chances, De Bruyne came on and really made the difference.

I expected so much more from Everton. They looked gutted at the end, but if you are going to go out of a League Cup semi-final that was not the way to do it. I can't see martinez starting the next season at EFC.

It was a very poor way to go out. I think they made the big mistake of thinking 1-0 would be enough. By the time we scored the 3rd they literally had nothing left. I thought they would throw the kitchen sink at us but they offered nothing.

They're scousers, I expect absolutely nothing less from all of them

Pellegrini is such a classless human being, he's so lucky to have that job, but what an utter sh*t, would love to see him bottle the title.

[Poor language removed], utter [Poor language removed]. The ref hadn't even spoken to robles for time wasting! It's disgusting and disrespectful to your fellow professionals when players do it. But an elderly man like him, i mean come on, something should be done about that, what kind of example is that for kids?

But this is just arrogance of someone who has no respect.

"They scored at 1-0 and it was a clear foul. If you think because of that ball [Sterling to de Bruyne], that is not why we won.

"We won because we scored three goals and Everton had just one chance."

There's no professionalism in football anymore, we're a credit to the sport and have been for the last 15/20 years given our finances, he's clearly forgot the one on one deula had and the fact we were easily the best team in the first leg and deserved more than a 1 goal cushion. All the managers of the top sides these days are pig ignorant and give any credit where it is due.

I'm not going to reply on there because I'll get banned, but deary me.

Not a brilliant performance but it was exciting to watch us for the first time in fucking ages! Makes such a difference in the feeling about the manager, the players, the team as a whole, Christ even the club as a whole when we're exciting to watch. It's been like watching paint dry for most of this season!

Some fairly nasty scenes on Ashton New Road post-game, Everton fans throwing bricks and bottles at anyone in sight and broke through and fence and a few fights broke out to which some lads got a right twatting. Hopefully nobody was hurt and it was all just in the spirit of a fairly heated local rivalry over the last decade.

It's unbelievable, isn't it? I'm back home, In bed, I've come on here to bask in a glorious night and all I can see are paranoid and insecure bleatings about everyone being against us.

Talk sport talked about nothing but how we outplayed them and how aguero so the best striker in the premier league on my drive home, by the way.

Some of you armchair fans are so fucking sour, you really are.
It's painful isn't it? thinking back to how cool and thick-skinned we used to be as a set of fans, to look at us now...come on lads!
