Don't give a fuck what her majority was. I've seen enough of her to wonder at the fucking eedjits that would vote for her.
Have it on good authority she works hard for her constituents, hence a large majority. I wonder what type of dimwit votes tory but hey hoe.

Sinn Fein reportedly saying the proposed agreement between the Government and the DUP is in breach of the Good Friday Agreement.
And so it unravels less than twenty four hours after being announced.

if thats the case whats the alternative ? another election. i thought labour with all the others dont make enough to form a government. i can't see a labour, snp, lib dem, green minority government working.

I wonder if we are heading for revolutionary step changes ahead of us.
Looks like the youth have finally realised they can have a say in setting the direction of travel.
If the old guard continue to restrain change then it could trigger an outpouring of anger born of frustration.

Not saying it will necessarily manifest itself in street protests / riots, but I can see a potential for major changes.

Saint Teresa clinging onto power could be the spark.
The game changer will be if Labour get a sniff of power and they change the mechanics of voting, to enable casting your vote online.

Yesterday, in 2017, I voted using a pencil secured with a piece of string. Unbelievable, when you step back and think about it.

It's worked in this country, and most others.

Good example - look at what the introduction of nationalised education did. Cost a little but now every kid can read, write and do sums so the type of jobs they can do are higher value.

Same with the NHS. Healthier communities make and spend more money than unhealthy ones.

There's also another issue coming soon in automation that's going to screw our kids over and we need to have a social safety net attached for this. In fact tgis is a bigger issue than climate change in how desperate it is, a bigger issue than terrorism in how fucked we are and a bigger issue than the NHS in how unprepared we are.

In the next 25 years, 30% of current jobs are no longer going to exist. Think how fun that will be for our economy when a large amount of the professional classes (it will affect computer users before tradesmen) are now out of the tax revenues. Tgis is akready happening now and nobody else is talking about it loudly ebough.
Picking up on your last paragraph. This was pretty much the forecast for the future, when I left school in 1980.

Do you doubt she was ill, at all? Having seen her political programming before this election, I can tell you she was far from this version, no matter if you agreed with her or not.

I think more people voted for her than May, even?

So you might have "to wonder at the fucking eedjits that would vote for her" also...
I've seen her previously, especially when she was on a weekly political show on the BBC with Andrew Neil. She's a fucking idiot, and living proof that once you're in a safe seat, it doesn't matter how shite you are, you will get in. That goes for both major political parties. However, Abbott is possibly the thickest I've seen.

Fuck all to do with colours. She's a fucking clown, and rather frighteningly, she was on the Shadow Cabinet. Luckily, Corbyn was a good enough leader to ditch the silly cow.

It happened too.

The digital age killed many production jobs and people have taken refuge in the last pillar of employment- the service industry.

You miss the point entirely.

Everyone accepts the result.

The problem is the Right voters dismiss the impact of the campaign Corbyn ran, in the 7 weeks that some media stopped their suffocating smear 'reporting' on him. Look what happened!

What might have been with a fair shake? An actual debate with the opposition?

Small things.
I totally get that, and as sed previously i take my hat of to Corbyn. But it come to no suprise to me after he release his manifesto, free tuition fees was always going to be a game changer. One thing for sure, Conservative will need to offer the young more at the next election. The young will benefit from this for sure. And i'm ecstatic at that.

No fan of Sinn Fein but they do have a point, their point however would be more coherent if they actually attended Parliament and sat in debates and votes. This will harm the peace process but May had nobody else to get into bed with.

Sometimes the old way is better, i don't believe an election should be done online, that would open up potential chaos.

Didn't work in Greece did it? Sounds like utopia but I am sorry Damocles real life is not that simple in my opinion.

It really isnt Utopia but increasing aggregate demand and Government intervention has been a staple policy for many years in this Country and served this country well. No Economic Model in its purest form, would work but your being simplistic to suggest its not workable in real life and suggesting it is some far fetched unrealistic ideal.

Agree with your point on PFI (Norman Lamont introduced it though) and in many ways it failed but the country at that time required massive infrastructure spending and Manchester is a prime example of a City which is vastly improved in comparison to what it was in the 80s and early 90s after years of Tory rule. That finance had to come from somewhere.

With regards the Public Sector I genuinely do not know where you are coming from. Easy to say there is waste (as there is in every sector) but I work with a guy who has returned from the Private Sector and he stays til 7 each night, earns 12k less and cannot believe the pressures on services compared to what he was previouly used too. Similarly another colleague has left, moved to the private sector and enjoys the largesse he would never experience working in the Public Sector.

The system is about to collapse in Adult Social Care. Places cannot be found in Home Care due to care workers being paid minimum wage, on zero hour contracts, resulting in a lack of staff and the likelihood that old people are having to go in care homes instead of the dignity of supported independent living at home or alternatively stay in hospital and block beds.

3 million unemployed back then, wasn't it? As a matter of interest what's your definition of the "service industry" ? Are you including the care of the elderly and infirm? If so, your comment smacks of inverted snobbery.

I will have no further say on the election here. I will just end with saying I genuinely hope this amazing small island we all live and love rides all the storms that may come in the coming years no matter party or leader. And like many times in our history we will come out prosperous and give hope to many. Goodnight all.

Does anyone think it is possible to have a party which is exactly in the Middle or the left And right? Or is that just not possible? You either want solcialism or capitalism?
