Post Match Thread - United (h)

It's interesting that he still seems to perform on the international stage, though. I wonder if it's because he knows that the PL, PiGMOL, FArce Sunday Night at the London Palladium VAR Show won't be making an appearance and he feels free to express himself as we know he can. You train all week, prepare thoroughly, field a team full of top class players and VAR pisses all over it!
To be fair the International games are several levels down from the top club sides.

Jesus is stuck in forward position too much. Either running offside, or hanging around the back four rather than coming back for the ball, leaving midfielders either sending the ball wide, or backwards. No-one is like Sergio for coming away from defenders to receive the ball.

VAR has done us badly but not yesterday.

There was one one passionate team on that pitch yesterday and disgracefully it was not ours.

No I agree mate, I think we've been hamstrung from the start this season, but yesterday we didn't need to be, I thought all decisions were correct, but I'm not convinced if it was the other way round, those decisions would have been the same.

There just seems to be a real downbeat and dejected mood about the players, the management and coaching, and there's a root cause to it imo.

I noticed a lot of different faces around me yesterday in the stand which was odd. I’m amazed people give their derby tickets away.

even the chap next to me that goes every game wasn’t there, his seat was empty. Odd

Don't think it's from VAR, not sure all the players are into Pep as they once were, or maybe it's simply down to last years run in, which must have been exhausting.

Most of these players have had no reasonable R&R for 2 years and with the Euro's this summer, next season is not going to be any easier

Said it against Newcastle. WE. ARE. SOFT

Nobody is Interested putting tackles in because they don't want to get hurt. It's no different than when teams will just bully Arsenal on the pitch

I think it might also be a case of not putting in a tackle knowing that if the diving cheating shite went to ground and rolled around a bit the ref would be reaching for a yellow. How many times did we see a red shirt rolling about clutching shin or thigh after a tackle - two or three hobbles, and, hey presto, ready for the greyhound derby again.

It's a derby!! our hated rivals, get stuck in and show some passion, we have become a team of pussies

I don't think it's one specific reason, but I do think it's a culmination of things, VAR included, you can see it on the players faces, you can see it on Peps', and you can tell from his comments he thinks things are a bit "off" in that regard, we look flat, and I don't think it's purely down to R & R.

It was fairly obvious yesterday how Utd would play on the counter with pace, yet we seemed utterly unprepared for it.

That for me was the most worrying aspect of yesterday’s game. The Premiership has now gone. We are still in a fight for top four, we’re still in the knockout competitions, so we can’t start doing anything too drastic but I hope we now see an element of rethink and forward planning over the rest of the season. The malaise that seems to have set in within this squad is most concerning. I feel there may be a two-year rebuilding job to be done here.

This is not a team who wants to win a league title, been apparent from very early on. How it's been let to get to this, bar a few injuries, is alarming. Half of that team needs a serious rocket, regardless of past achievements. It's actually unbelievable how easily we've been beat this season, in fact at times it's been pathetic.

It might be a team who knows it won't be allowed to win a league title no matter how hard they train, no matter how prepared they are, and how well they piece the 90mins together. I think we have seen enough, two months back, that we are not being treated in the same way re the application of the LotG and the VAR referrals.

I think there would not by many sharing that view after the Burnley game. We hit the heights again, admittedly against what seems to be a disintegrating BFSean squad but we have players who can turn a game in seconds, given a fair crack of the whistle.

You win some, you lose some. That's life, but yesterdays game was a disgrace. Why when playing against a team as quick as 'them' do we not give some of our younger players a run out? Can't be any worse than the recent crap we've had to endure. I thought we had the best academy in the world, where are they all? We've got a potential world class player in Foden yet he hardly gets a look in. Try putting Garcia and Heywood Bellis and anyone else who is young enough and fit enough to at least run a bit. Sterling never broke sweat last night. Plus he wants a payrise. B*****ks. We badly need an injection of bottle and energy and soon, or else we might not even make Europa league next season. As for Angelino!!!!!!! I'm going for a lie down.

Just to clarify, Norwich, Wolves and yesterday's results had nothing to do with VAR. Please don't tell me any different. Utd were up the pitch and threatening our goal in 5 or 6 passes. Our build up play is laboured, our finishing poor and tbh this team lacks a bit of steel.
