Noticing a lot more of these nowadays- Podolski to arsenal, Marin to chelsea just to name a couple. They seem a good way of tieing up transfers before others start poking round in the transfer windows, usually getting what seem to be fair prices. Why dont we see these at city? i suppose it could disrupt the team during the season if word gets round camp that we are signing x, players will start to wonder what theyre future lays, or is it just that are ours just kept under wraps better than others?

It is up to the club/player to go public with the deal before an actual transfer window so we just choose as a club not to say anything.
