Pre/post Wembley drinks around London.

We went straight there from Wembley aiming to go in the Globe, it was closed and the guy on the door said the cops had ordered all the pubs on that stretch to close.

We went in The Globe but it was a good couple of hours after the match had ended when we landed there as we'd been in a few pubs around Marylebone first. The Globe was full of Sunderland fans but there wasn't any trouble.

We normally do cans from the offy before the match at Wembley but might have a couple of hours in Covent Garden first this time. I don't know what it will be like as there will be plenty of Liverpool fans knocking about too.

Just had a peak on Rawk and there is pne post recomending they go the globe and the flag if watford side.

Stopping over in Kingsbury, 1 tube stop from Wembley Park. Just checked out the area on Google and there appears to be two choices for drinking, either JJ Moons or Hennesey bar.
Anybody know if these are allocated to us, the dippers or neither.
Taking the Mrs so would hate to walk into a pub full of the red scouse.

Mabel's in Euston has already been mentioned. You could take the Metropolitan line to Wembley from King's Cross. It's a nice pub and away from the chains / high street boozers.

The infamous flying scotsman in Kings cross has now been renovated into a modern cask and craft Ale pub and should now be suitable for any visitors, It's now called it's original name the scottish stores. Not far from St pancras/kings cross underground
