Prem Soon Come

Not sure that’s completely correct. There were plenty of hackneyed cliches in there:
’tough place to come’
‘take it day by day, game by game’
’got to go out there and enjoy it and play your stuff’
‘just got to keep working hard and show what I can do day in and day out’

I'm sure he’s had quite a bit of media training or he wouldn’t have been put forward for the interview.
Oh I dunno mate, used to get that all the time on the killing er sorry playing fields of Wythenshawe park and Hough End ;-)

Yeah maybe, I get your point. But I think those phrases get used by every footballer at every level. For me he seemed quite unrefined when chatting to the presenter and I really liked it. Sort of raw and how he would speak to someone down the pub. It was quite refreshing really.

Well here's another confusing thread. Maybe if the OP had backed up the header with an explanation of what it relates to!

Mine and I imagine a lot of comments are aimed at the OP and not how Cole Palmer presented in the after match interview.
I didn't hang around in front of the TV at the final whistle on Friday, stuff to do.

In hindsight it's nice to see a local lad with a strong accent coming through.

So he'll never know what a quadratic equation is or who Fyodor Dostoevsky was, big friggin deal. His good genes went to his feet not his brain; it takes all kinds in this world and he'll more than likely go on to earn more in his short career than everyone in this forum will in their lifetimes combined. Go figure.

And b*****ks to giving him media training. He's a footballer not a politician, the coaches will refine him not a spin doctor. Proper Mancunian just like ourselves, already love the lad.

1. He absolutely does NOT need media training.

2. Imagine how much it would take the boiling piss amongst the ’istree clubs to the next level for us to have not one but two local lads who are City fans bossing the first team and giving authentic manc attitude to the world in pressers.

3. Add McAtee into the mix and 80% of dippers and rags will spontaneously combust as their worldview is blown apart.

Good for Cole. Doesn't come across as the brightest spark, but, so what - what a player! Great future ahead of him - and a better first interview than Micah Richards gave!

He's a young lad and it was his first interview , he's local and speaks our language , what did we expect an educated assement of the game in an Oxbridge accent , let his feet do the talking plenty of other players who didnt come across as media stars the likes of Gazza , Merlin , Scholes and others hated interviews when they were players but they turned out OK.
This lad is going to be a superstar , he plays without fear and is the perfect replacement for Mahrez in a couple of years.

It is few an far between we will get local lads comin thru at city, theres thousands of young talented kids coming up at the academy, and majority just dont make it and move on,still too a good club yess, but not on the same level as city, foden is on another level, and it makes it so much better the guys a local lad,he will be top 5 players in the world in the next few years, that is a fact! And the way palmer is gettin put in the mix now in the exact same way pep brought foden thru, means he is a special talent, its deffinetly something to be proud of being a mancunian, theres big things to come from some of our young talent, mcatee will be another hes a salford lad,
Its good times ahead lads, the money and effort the club have put into that amazein academy is startin to pay off,be proud of it,BLUE ARMY!
