Prem Soon Come

‘Soon come’ is a Jamaican phrase popular with the youth. Pretty sure Raheem has used it in a few less formal interviews over the years

And greeting someone by saying 'yes' followed by their name/nickname. Also, when parting company, repeatedly saying 'safe safe safe safe'.

I think rather than people taking the piss out of a young City player, maybe focus on the agenda of the interviewer with his constant references to “minutes”, exactly the same as they used to do with Phil. I remember danny cunting mills saying Phil Foden should leave City for “minutes” when Phil was 18, even though Phil had played more “minutes” at that age than mills played for us in 5 leaching years

It was a long way from, say, Shadow Moss Lane on the southern edge to the nearest shops etc. The terraced houses nearer the city it replaced all had a corner shop or a pub, but not Wythenshawe.
Long time since I lived there, is it bandit country now?

Long time since I lived there too. But before I left, many houses were bought by long term renters - because they are good quality houses. Seems to produce good footballers though :)

For as long as I can remember there's been people who think they are a bit superior and denigrate people from Wythenshawe, so it shouldn't be surprising if we've got a few judgemental twats in our fan base. Donkey's years ago I was sent to Boston to help out a project that turned out to have an expat from Altrincham on the team. I introduced myself to the team and explained where I was from etc, he asked what part of Manchester and when I told him the cheeky fucker made no attempt to hide his incredulity that someone from Wythenshawe was going to be managing him. Transpired he was shit at his job and a rag, so I'm sure there's a moral in there somewhere.

For what it's worth, what i liked about Palmer's interview and particularly the smiley way he said "prem'll come soon" was that that he is clearly a confident/fearless lad but without coming across as up himself. Very likeable I thought.
