Premier League Games 11/12/13/14 August 2023

How long before we hear the false narrative that liverpool have dominated the league along with man city for the past 5 -6 years.

Except, it is now supposed to be the full time of stoppage, for whatever reason, which would have been more than 4 minutes.

Average time in play was 55 minutes last season, which would indicate it is likely we had at least 10-15 minutes stoppage each half, given teams haven’t really changed their play much yet.

Oh well, back to making it up as they go along.
But that's never been what it's about. It's not that the clock stops every time the play is stopped, it's that we regain the time wasted from excessive stoppages from players taking their time over the restart. The logic is that the rules will make themselves obsolete as players get on with it more. It's flawed logic, but that's what's supposed to happen at least. The good thing is they can unofficially abandon it a couple of months into the season and claim that the rules have worked.

Don't care what anyone says, we should've signed Maddison. No way he doesn't absolutely explode for us.
