I've watched it back and I'm still not sure it takes a deflection. I think it's just the angle.

It’ll be analysed to the nth degree at half time so we’ll know for sure then. Just takes the gloss off the game for me, can accept if the ref doesn’t see that in real time. Conversely, the offside one just given is what var was made for.

Liverpool could really struggle without fans at Anfield this season. They have always relied so heavily on their home form both domestically and in Europe, especially these past 3 or 4 seasons. Without fans home advantage is almost void.
