Premier League Games 14/15/16/17 July

Even Walton said it was a penalty.....

I dont think the referee even saw the incident, so at the time he cannot give it. However, this is where PIGMOL in England have altered the whole ethos of the game. Pigmol instructed refs not to view the monitors from start of season. So when a ref in PL is unsighted, the decision now lies with VAR as a default. They are deciding its not a clear or obvious error so defacto are refereeing the incident themselves, eg not the onfield referee. In Europe, refs review via pitchside monitors so ultimately take final decision. If a referee is unsighted, he doesnt give it. VAR should review, then show best angle to pitchside monitor for onfield referee to review, as hes the one supposed to decide subjectiv decisions, not VAR team.

Of course for United penalty decisions, referee always gives it first, then easier for VAR to uphold refs decision citing not clear or obvious error. If against United, refs can just simply not give it and VAR again use not clear or obvious to protect them.

On Palace offside, fans should see the ball being played as well as attacking and defending positions to be transparent.

I believe it should be changed to favour attacking team. VAR should decide freeze frame they use, then also look at frame prior and after. If onside in any x1 of the three then hes onside. It may in some cases take slightly longer but in others less so, as may be clear space in one of other frames. It would also favour attacking team when they are moving forward at pace when defender coming out at speed. Its those decisions where technology is more risky so use the x3 frames rule.

The assistance the 'istree clubs have had this season is beyond a joke , Premier league need the Dippers & Rags winning the title to get full value from their "product", the Rags will be challengers next season not because they are any good but because PGMOL will be under orders to give anything and everything to both of these morally bereft clubs.
It’s amazing how their PR is 12 months in advance of everybody else, just like when they promoted the Salah goal against us a couple of seasons back. For the new season will we now see a PR stunt regarding how the nineteen times are coming for the 20 times?

Wow they are bringing up the 50 frames per second camera stuff that I’m always banging on about (and posted about earlier in this thread). Peter Walton just admitted it’s subjective. Haha they aren’t even hiding it.. that admission effectively proved why they only get the lines out when they want to prove something is off. Yet it’s not accurate.. so basically anything within nearly a foot can be manufactured to look off. What a fucking farce this sports organisation is.

This Is proof that the league is fixed.. well has been this season anyway.

Scudamore - United s decline is bad for the Prem

Scudamore - City’s dominance is bad for the Prem

Headline - Manchester United have had the most VAR decisions in their favour (20:3:20 - pre lockdown!)

Headline - Liverpool and Man U enrage rivals with access to potential new Prem League chief

It doesn’t matter what we do next season. VAR was introduced for one reason.

Who has vetted the people in the van?
one day, one day mate the beans will spill, Mark Halsey came close to spilling not so long ago then it went very quite, i can only assume the prem put a gagging threat on him, im quite sure there are enough bent and corrupt people in the English game to fill a wing at strangeways, one day someone wont receive the brown envelope and will come clean until then in every game we must go out to score as many as we can to fight dodgy VAR decisions

Just hoping the club are giving them all enough rope. Think it will take an honourable 3rd party though as the fear of damaging our investment will keep us in line.

What are they getting at? That Sony kit is actually dodgy and it's favouring the rags on a data processing level? It recognises rag shirts and moves the lines on the monitor? The most they do is provide hardware and a trained bloke who will make it do what match officials tell them. It's unlikely there are a load of rags installed as hawkeye operators trying to fool them, even less likely they're on orders from their parent company. Keep looking at the match officials, they make the calls.

Football must be the only multi billion pound industry in the world that has incompetence at this level in such prominent roles.
It beggars belief how often they get it wrong, in fact, it kinda makes you think it’s not actually incompetence at all...
