Premier League Games 19/20/21/22/23

I think people are looking at the defenders raised leg. That misses him
The clash looks accidental, even if it does deny him a goal scoring opportunity.

The attacker then starts to stumble, so the defender has another go to trip him.
I don't think it makes any difference as he was going down anyway.
But the intent to trip him again was there regardless. From the other angle, you can see he wraps his foot around the attackers foot. Making sure there is no way he gets to the ball.
Red card for me.
That was my impression too, if he hadn't swung his leg at him as he was falling he would probably have got away with it.
He went for a sly second nibble when he saw the Everton player going past (even though he was stumbling at that point) and that was what made up the refs mind.
He should have had a red but at least their cheating isn't getting the rewards it did last season.

It be the end of Gerard’s managerial career if he goes to Liverpool next season with no money to spend! If he is offered the job he should sure but I want 300m net to spend on players.
Money????? But . . . but . . . but “this means more.”

Besides, if he’s so great, he should be able to manage them to much better things without money. After all, that’s what everyone says about Pep, isn’t it?

Perhaps somebody can ask TAA if he deliberately lifted his leg to stop DCL? I am sure being from Liverpool he would give a true and honest answer to the question.

This is why clubs often go for young inexperienced managers they know the fans will like as they can avoid the transfer spend conversation.

Yep but Gerrard for me seems to have his head screwed on right regarding his managerial future! I just can’t see him going to Liverpool unless he is promised big money to spend.

If Slippy goes to dippers, and he will. It's gonna be fat fwank and Chelski take 2. Slippy would be better of getting out the Haggis league by going to a championship team, before trying to end his career a second time at Anfield .

It’s only a red card if it’s dangerous play now.

The penalty is now classed as the goal scoring opportunity so defenders can’t deny teams of them anymore. It’s only a red for that outside the box now.
