Those sort of injuries annoy me, I've seen our players fall for them at times. Coasting in s game and dawdling on the ball inviting a late challenge instead of passing it.

Robbie Mustoe on NBC thought that red card is a ridiculous call. His point is it’s clearly accidental but that he isn’t even trying to play the player nor the ball — he’s just running.

Ah but not a clear and obvious error, that is always their get out.

I didnt watch the game but I have just seen the incident. Digne had two goes at the Southampton player and after he failed to stop him the first time he was determined to get him the second. I cant tell if it was intentional but it was a nasty raking of studs down the ankle. Deserved a red card imo.
