I can understand imcompetence but why do you say corruption ? If it’s corrupt the decision has to be made deliberately to benefit one team over the other. Why would Mason be favouring WBA (unless I missed something and he’s a closet Baggies fan).

Mason got it wrong he did not have his arm in the air to indicate a quick free kick could not be taken and the attacker had to wait. Once he whistles the taker is free to take the kick. It is not the refs job to ensure the wba keeper is ready.
However, If the ball had not crossed the line before the second whistle then the goal cannot stand.

But the mistake is Masons. He has denied Brighton a goal that should have been given.

But pigmol will say both decisions were right.
