We’ve been playing that style of football since 1997. Its what arsenal/Wenger were always known for. We are not replicating what pep does, we are replicating what arsenal have done for the last 20+ years.

I’m not disputing who is better/more successful right now as it’s clearly city but it’s nonsense to say we are copying your style when we’ve been playing it long before city came along. Arrogance of the highest order which city fans always used to accuse arsenal fans of.

The only thing I will give you is the pressing, we haven’t done that before and I accept it’s probably come from pep who is the best at it.

Arsenal play an almost carbon copy of City’s football now. The patterns of play are so recognizable to any City fan. Arsenal have generally been an attacking team I agree but you’re downplaying just how similar the two squads are now compared to Wengers football. City and now Arsenals football is not just one touch attacking football.

Having said all that, there’s absolutely no reason for any football fan to criticize or denigrate Arsenal for playing a very similar system. You hired a manager who worked for Pep for a few years and you’ve been really successful. Its an absolutely brain dead criticism and you shouldn’t waste any of your energy even thinking about it
