I really don’t get this idea that we are copying your style as if city invented fast, slick, one touch, possession based football.

We’ve been playing that style of football since 1997. Its what arsenal/Wenger were always known for. We are not replicating what pep does, we are replicating what arsenal have done for the last 20+ years, long before city came along.

I’m not disputing who is better/more successful right now as it’s clearly city but it’s nonsense to say we are copying your style. Arrogance of the highest order which city fans always used to accuse us of.

The only thing I will give you is the pressing, we haven’t done that before and I accept it’s probably come from pep who is the best at it.

Yep correct under Wenger Arsenal played some fantastic football but there possession stats then are nothing compared to city’s! Plus Wenger football didn’t get copied all down the leagues!
