Can't agree, he ballsed it up, then pulled the lad down clear through on goal in desperation. Clear red, only himself to blame. If he didn't think he was clear through then he wouldn't have brought him down. Stupidity trying to cover up terrible play, never a great combination.

Scrappy win for Wolves, not convinced they deserved it due to their pretty terrible forward play when Newcastle were down to ten, but if you back off a player and let him run from 40 yards out and have a clear shot from 10 yards, without even an attempt at a challenge then you probably deserve to lose

Agreed. Red card, undoubtedly. Lascelles is no Usain Bolt, he wouldn't have got across in time to cover Yedlin's fuck up. And the defending for the winning goal is laughable.

Let's see, Chelsea were all over them the entire first half but didn't put their chances away, the second half was more even and then wolves scored against the run of play before picking Chelsea off late on. Sound familiar?
 
Benitez with a face like a bulldog chewing a wasp there. He's deluded if he thinks Lascelles was going to get over to stop Jota (think it was him) getting a shot away. He has a point about the Boli/Perez incident. It was a penalty at the very least and, quite possibly, a red card.

It was a standard basketball game: frantic pace, not much in the way of tactics, many technical fouls, far too much dribbling, and only the last 5 minutes were interesting.
