It's very odd, but this season teams have decided to go long ball way more often than previous years and are utilising the long throw ala 2000s Stoke City more often.
Some Premier League current and former managers were very vocal over the summer about the need to bring in big, physical and strong players and Leeds United for example exclusively recruited 6ft + athletes in order to compete.
Seems like tippy toe passing is dying a death and we are seeing more of a return to early 2000s Premier League route one.
