Premier League (midweek) Games 3/4/5 December

It pisses on what we do in games is what.

We often have 20+ shots on goal, and 10+ on target, and we are not clinical enough, and I've been banging this drum all season, even after the Watford game I said it.

Its one of the reasons they're so far in front of us, and that they keep sneaking late wins after poor performances. We utterly outplayed spurs and ended up drawing 2-2 because we missed a bag full of goal attempts, we had 25 shots at Norwich, 8 on target, we lost, because Norwich had 8 shots, 3 on target and put all three away.

If we were clinical enough we'd be on 42 points imho (Wolves being the exception), with or without VAR impeding us (aiding liverpool), and our GD would be near to +50.
Spot on.

Is it because our build up is slow and predictable the opponents have time to regroup and pack the penalty box or what........it's bloody annoying when , as you say, other teams have a much higher conversion rate for less effort.

Or we face a flat back 11 very week whilst other teams dont.

Saw a stat the other day that said our conversion rate was the second highest so not too worried about the amount fo goals we score given we break every record going consistently.

VAR doesnt mean we should have to score 3/4/5 goals every week to win.

You get 3 points for a 1-0 and you get the same 3 points for a 5-0.

they know how to finish
Or goalie fails to make a single save of the 5 shots that were on target?

Something dodgy or abysmal failure? I bet despite not saving anything he made some dramatic and acrobatic Hollywood diving.

More Hollywood than Mary Pickford.

Spurs' moment of 'glory' has clearly been and gone, hasn't it? They had nothing in midfield till Eriksen came on, really nothing, and it's an open secret that he's off in the summer. Two fundamentally ordinary teams now. The better football, such as it was, was played by United, and the result was just about right.
That said, it's clear to anyone with eyes that Van Dijk's not-given penalty was far clearer than the one on Rashford.
Not worried about Saturday. If we show the mojo that we showed at Burnley, we will smash them.

Spurs need to give all the fans who went to old toilet their money back after last night, pathetic performance against a distinctly average top 10 team, Kane may as well have stayed on the coach, he was that bad, Ali was good but not a lot else to be fair..

Every dipper game these days reminds me of the film Kes, they are taking the points no matter what, not denying they are a good team but no way on this earth are they 11 points better than us, some of the decisions last night were astonishing, cheating in plain sight tells you the contempt the officials have for the rest of the teams in the league..!

Everton should’ve had a pen at 2-1. TAA should’ve seen red for the two footer. What’s annoying is twats like TAA and Robertson now think they’re hard men as they get away with murder.
It should have been 9v11 at 2-1.

TAA could (should) have been sent off three separate times and Robertson in two separate occasions — they are both ****houses that know they are protected. The grin Robertson had when Davies had a word just after Robertson elbowed the Everton player’s head in to the ground says it all. They believe they are anointed and therefore can do nearly whatever they want, and that includes VD pushing Calvert-Lewin — he knew he would get away with it.

Absolutely spot on.
