Premier League (midweek) Games 30/31 Jan + 1/Feb '24

Do think Phillips will do well for West Ham because his passiveness on the ball won’t be as glaringly obvious given they don’t have it too much. And if they do it’s a sense of getting it to Bowen/Kudus as quickly as possible rather than anything intricate.

Means he can focus on tracking runners (I know) and making challenges. One of those type of players that will make 5 tackles a game and become known for it. Like he was at Leeds and is for England. Just didn’t suit us but will suit West Ham/specifically Moyes a treat IMO.

Alex Scott is a nice player. Remember he stood out when we played Bristol last season(?), was obvious he’d get a move.

The summer we signed Kalvin I recall him having a stinker for England in a game at Wolves, can’t remember who against. Next time I saw him was when he came on at Chelsea and he looked poor. After each of those games I wondered if he was a dud as I hadn’t really noticed him at Leeds. Maybe his best days are already behind him.
