1st ever Rags game for Brooks, the ref who left his cards in his pocket in our game v Burnley before finally booking one of them in the 90th minute. Lets see if he keeps his cards in his pocket again for Brentford this week.

Only Assistant Var which is probably one of the most pointless jobs there is. When Var makes the errors, you do wonder how the Var and assistant var can both reach the same wrong decision

Not that it is right, it isn’t, but you do hope that the much more difficult path to being a match official she will have navigated than the gents will make her more resistant to outside influence.

That may be wishful thinking, though, as she will unfortunately also be more heavily scrutinised by her peers and PGMOL brass, so she may actually be more likely to “get on to stay on”.

Quite an accomplishment for her to get this far, though, given the sexism and misogyny still rampant across all facets of football.

Just watching the spurs game , the.lino incorrectly just flagged kane offside , what happened to the instructions to.delay flagging until the.next.phase ? Pigmol have just complicated it for assistants , some.flag straight away some like in our game at the weekend leave it so.late

The AVARs job isn’t to help the VAR make decisions. It’s to watch live play while the VAR is watching replays of an earlier incident and inform him if anything happens in the meantime that might also need looking at.
