I didn’t defend him. I pointed out the reality and how Biden is judged and his service under Obama is regarded favourably. Yes trying your best is important. I would rather have a good man fall short than a bad man meet expectations. I suspect 150,000 Americans would think the same if they were able. I have no idea on his mental health. Neither do you. Equally, I am sure Biden can pronounce Thailand and the name of a National Park.

The choice in November is between a giant piece of shit in an orange wig and ‘meh’.

This thread can spend the next few months frothing over ‘meh’ but it ain’t changing anything.

The choice is between a giant piece of shit and someone who is clearly clearly struggling with his mental health, the guy is too old and it’s very telling.

I do have an idea of his mental health, I’ve known family members with dementia and cognitive issues, I used to live with one.

As I say, I Biden wins but his team need an out of things get worse.

It is funny though coming out with several racist comments is “meh” to you but then the entire UK is a cesspit if racism and hate... but Labour isn’t.

Not much of a choice and this is where the VP choice is crucial because Biden might not last the term.

You know, Bob, I can't think of a time where I've disagreed with you, but this is one time.

When Biden speaks to a Black person, he tends to lope into this 'jive' talk with his "come on, man!" stuff and it's irritating at best and racist at worst. Now, to be clear, I think there's a distinct difference on the racist aspect from Biden and #45. I don't know that Biden realises he's doing it whereas the Orange Blimp knows exactly what he's doing and saying.

As for the 'groping of women', well, I believe once is enough to disqualify you from any realms of power, never mind women 10+.

Let's not confuse Biden as being 'left'; he's not.

But he is left of hard right.

If he chooses a decent VP then it’s all systems go, it’s just a shame he’s not younger imo.

The neo liberal thing isn’t something I’m arsed about debating but as an individual, he had more chance than Bernie.

I would, believe it or not, have voted for Bernie if I was American.

Believe or not, I'm bending towards Susan Rice.

As neolib as she is, she's got more experience than anyone else in the whole field including Biden, when it comes to foreign affairs.

I suspect, also, she'd be more malleable than anyone would expect on progressive ideas.

I think that, maybe, because I know what everyone else offers and she's little of an unknown quantity since she was last in an administration.

If I was black and he said “you’re not black if you vote trump”, even if I didn’t vote Trump I’d think Biden could go fuck himself for saying that about me as a potential voter.

Biden is the most likely to win though out of the Dems, the socialist card used against Sanders would do a lot of damage.

Although I do have a worrying feeling Biden might lose here, when it gets to the debates his slip ups may bite him on the arse.
