Prestwich and Whitefield supporters meeting tonight

Went to the first meeting tonight for a long time tonight and was please to see Ireland and Adam Johnson taking questions from a good turnout from city fans.

Ireland got a good few boo's for saying his best goal ever was Cantona's volley against arsenal, his childhood hero was cantona and his team he supported as a child was United, least he was honest eh......


He also said he never had any intention to leave city and he thinks Robhino will never return to city. Was an interesting night and im looking forward to the next one.

Good to have it back; shorter meeting than normal but a great turnout and it needs to be a regular fixture on the social calendar like it used to be - now the club are playing ball again.

Well it come straight from the horses mouth tonight. I think it was playful jeering and you cant knock him for being truthful. He is Irish after all so it was either United or Celtic ;)

I had said he had posters of Cantona supported United but has put that all behind now and loves City. It doesn't matter your right. Always why he seems to be up for it against them as well because apparently they knocked him back after trials

Yeah he said his best game was beating united on the munich memorial day at the swamp. A weird response was to the question " what do you think of Carlos Tevez "

Ireland seemed quite reluctant in his response to suggest he might not get on with him or like him. Was a bit strange because Johnson said that Tevez is by far the best player he has ever played with.
