Priced out? | Club announce that matchday tickets being reduced by up to 43% (p93)

Just had a thought about pricing etc, not sure where to post it, here seems close to okay.

For a good few years we all thought we had the best owners possible. We see clubs with American owners just chasing the money and taking money out of their clubs while we would invest and improve the club.

Now there's year on year price increases, plus others things mentioned in this thread. Is it a coincidence that most of this seems to have happened, or got worse, since Silver Lake invested in us? How much actual control do they have over our direction and in day to day decision making? Do we as fans even know who the people running Silver Lake are?
I think inflation has had a bigger impact.

The price increases started in 08/09 and City wouldn't publish a price list for match day tickets that season due to dynamic pricing.

Cook and Khaldoon are Americanised as they come business wise. A minority shareholder isn't calling the shots.

Looks like priced out on here too. SSL3 seasoncard seats being sold for twice the cost price. With platinum, 1/19th would be £25 (row X up to top). Seems £50 is the going rate now.
If ever I move mine on it's always for 1/19th, even the raggy game last season.

Other's have decided to try and do what the Ticket Exchange does and although it's maybe still technically cost price it doesn't sit well with me.

Carlos Vicens as a senior coach will be able to ask for tickets. He will also have access to ask players about their tickets. What I don't understand is giving tickets to just fans of football. I have been a football tourist but I havent turned up in my City colours.

Can't see the Ticket Compliance Manager coming down too hard on him then : (
Why should he? These were club tickets legitimately given to people who wanted them.

I understand that this irritates people, when fans in the away end display other clubs' colours. If they were actively taunting City fans, or otherwise being idiots, then that's completely out of order. But they weren't hurting anyone and they weren't using tickets that otherwise could have been used by season ticket holders.

Yeah I get that, but they took 8 away tickets that could and should have gone to genuine City fans. That’s 16 away tickets if you add the Barcelona fans as well. Is Arsenal next? Easy access. Plenty of flights. A nice weekend in London, including the match.

That important point aside. And perhaps it’s just me. I would never go in another clubs away section, if I could get a ticket, wearing a City shirt or a City hat. To me if nothing else it’s disrespectful.

After the the fans reaction about the 8 Barcelona fans in the away end at Anfield, which the club said would never happen again, it has happened again at Ipswich, with the 8 Real Mallorca fans. It frustrates and annoys City fans.

Give the 8 away tickets to City fans, not to 8 Real Mallorca fans.
