That important point aside. And perhaps it’s just me. I would never go in another clubs away section, if I could get a ticket, wearing a City shirt or a City hat. To me if nothing else it’s disrespectful.

After the the fans reaction about the 8 Barcelona fans in the away end at Anfield, which the club said would never happen again, it has happened again at Ipswich, with the 8 Real Mallorca fans. It frustrates and annoys City fans.

I'm realistic to know this will never happen but I don't think staff should be getting any of the allocation.
 
Now a couple of points on this, one it's something I've seen on social media so could well be made up, and two it relates to the rags so I know sympathy is obviously minimal, but the way things are going, would anyone be truly shocked if it had have happened at the Etihad?

I understand that this irritates people, when fans in the away end display other clubs' colours. If they were actively taunting City fans, or otherwise being idiots, then that's completely out of order. But they weren't hurting anyone and they weren't using tickets that otherwise could have been used by season ticket holders.

Not all proper Man City fans are Season ticket holders only!!!!

If the club or it’s officials want to give away tickets to friends, etc.

Do it at The Ethiad Stadium, don’t do it with a small away fans allocation, when proper fans are pushed out from getting a ticket!!!

If staff aren’t going to the away matches, away tickets that can go to the fans shouldn’t be given to staff, regardless of what job and position they hold at City. It’s getting harder and harder for fans to get away tickets, even without the staff pool of away tickets. As you say, getting tickets for home games is a different matter altogether, with 8000 more home tickets becoming available when the North stand expansion is completed.

Obviously, freebie’s and not for profit???

But an abuse of the system and not really in the spirit of giving coaches tickets for close family and friends!!!

If, he thought it was such a great idea,why not invite them into the Directors box!!!

And not taking seats off proper City fans!!!

Just my opinion!!!

If he does get done for touring club should fine him for all the times he's had more than 2 tickets for aways and give the money to the clubs charity then don't think he would do it again

We don’t know if they were for profit or not. Why make the assumption, especially with the parties at Anfield and Ipswich dressed like they are on an organised tour. Should I assume you’re a tourist because you are a Somerset Blue. Of course not.

I’m a Tourist, since 1969!!!

Not born in the Manchester area, I just chose them as my team, back then, as nothing really local worth supporting!! :0)

Have been on Roller Coaster ever since!!! :0)

And will be in the Parc de Princes on Wednesday night, as a Tourist once again, for the 1st time since 2016, when I was in PSG Home End, a level above their Ultras!!
