printer not working

hi blues, having a printer problem, my PC doesn't appear to be communicating with my printer, i've tried to uninstall printer Dell 962, but all i get is " driver cannot be removed because the following applications are open" which is PSWX, please close applications before installing, tried several ideas but to no avail. anybody got any ideas ? cheers

ctrl+alt+delete, go to processes, end the process 'PSWX' then try again, see where that gets you.
