Printers

Get a budget printer where the print heads are built into the cartridge (for example - i got a HP Deskjet F380 for £35 from Asda as my Lexmark went down). The cartridges are expensive but if you are planning to refill them, then you will save money over time. I've had no trouble from my HP btw.

Not quite correct.

Basically it all depends on how much you print.

Laser printers basically offer more printing for less money, however the toners are VERY expensive but will be replaced at a far lesser quanyity ( did you know toner ink is more expensive than gold :))

Inkjet printers favor the people that dont print much, as its a short stab in the pocket every few months if you just print a bit.

And yes, i would stick with HP, epson printer cartridges are more epensive, and all the other printers basically have crap drivers

I am gonna disagree with the guy above,
I have found HP cartridges expensive and Epson cheaper

A quick 2 mins found me this <a class="postlink" href="http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Peripher" target="_blank" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Peripher</a>" target="_blank ... ctId=33300

Dont know how good or bad but a 3 in 1 for fair cheap money.

I agree fella HP are dam expensive, even the remanufactured or compatible cartridges are expensive compared to epson.

The printer I've got at the moment is a Epson stylus Photo RX560, it cost me around £100 when i first bought it roughly a year ago. It has 6 individual cartridges, so if you batter one colour you just replace it instead of replacing a cartridge that contains 3 colours which you lose ink with. A full set of cartridges normally prints between 30 to 40 full A4 size high quality pictures (pictures use the most ink) if i was doing other things i'd get many more print offs. Also two full sets (12 cartridges in total) only cost me £22.99 with free delivery.

Note: If your printing photos on this printer use instant dry paper (you can get it cheap online)

Honestly brass neck i've used Lexmark (worse by a mile), HP & Kodak printers in the past and Epson are definitely by far the best value for money and the quality isn't bad either.

P.s. Whatever you do dont buy a cheapo nasty printer, the print quality is always shit & the cartridges are normally always expensive (even epson).

EDIT: lol i've just bought some ink and they now charge 99p for delivery.
