There isn't a big difference in viewing figures when you see the numbers, City actually attract more in a lot of games.
After all, Liverpool fans will all be watching City games this season hoping we lose, neutrals will watch us for the football etc. It's not just die hard fans of the two teams that tune into games.
Sky especially just relentlessly show rag games, it's probably just become a habit.

Didn't know that, apart form US figures a year or two back.
I assume a main factor is foreign showings, and maybe what they can put on other platforms, denying non-users access for a while. Sky certainly used to have their Star TV network in China (and other far east maybe) which they built on PL football - don't know if this is still true.
 
you think for being champions would net you a bigger slice of the cake and not just a couple of £million more ?? know wonder finishing top 4 is not seen as glory and even the scum over the road being shown more than this city side, makes no sense truly shocking what the premier league has become and to united they have cooked the books to a point they are better off without the silver pot at the end of the season

when will the people learn that football is about playing the beautiful game and not the players or badge or shirt and long ball, even the hardest scum fans over in India and china must be turning off after watching jose test Newton's theory of gravitation that the ball must come down to earth sometimes
