Problem Opening YouTube Links on Bluemoon

I have a wireless connection to a dell notebook - it has a google chrome browser but won't open the YT links via BM, it will play them via the YT website (only if you can find out what they are!)

Help - suggestions - sympathy??
 
What actually occurs when you try to view them? Can you see anything like a broken picture image?
 
So is the video loading at all?

Can you see the image in the background of the video player with a play button?
 
This is happening to me also. I can see the image and play button
but the video does'nt play when i press the play button. Strange

Same as BUDTHEWISER

Can see the image, play button etc. Clicking on the control buttons on the image, or bottom left, or on the image has no effect. Just won't play.

Strangely, youtube links posted on mancityfans.net play as normal

Any ideas?
 
Do you have any extensions installed in Google Chrome? I know that that "faster chrome" thing can sometimes bugger up Flash videos on the forums?

Have checked extensions under the wrench key but it says I haven't got any - but I have!

It's my wireless notebook that I'm having the problem on though and that does not have faster chrome. The videos still open OK in Internet Explorer.
 
Sorry to hijack the thread, but for some reason i can no longer start a new topic. I am having a similar problem, the embedded video does'nt show up at all not even a link. It worked fine till a couple of weeks ago, tryed playing with the board settings but no luck, any ideas. Cheers.
 
Using flash player 10 r22, works fine on you tube and other sites but on here the video link just does'nt show up, just like a blank post.

Have you tried a different browser? IE8 or Firefox?

I'm 42 and have been using computers all my life, yet my 6 year old daughter solved this one for me ... click on the YouTube image then press the space-bar to start and stop the video!

click on the YT image press the space bar and by magic it plays = courtesy of a 6 year old genius!
