Looking for my own place in/around greater Manchester what do people recommend renting/buying in which areas? Can’t really afford more then £1,100 pm

North is cheaper
Avoid flats - the new ESW1 regulations are making them a nightmare to get a mortgage on with lenders insisting on them for all flats despite the regs only requiring them for over 18 metres.

Don't bother. Go and rent in Berlin for a fraction of that and don't give a second thought about living here.

Yeah pal and about 5k so not a lot

After January you won’t be able to go and live in the EU without a job to go to.
Otherwise you’ll have to leave any Schenghen country after 90 days and won’t be able return for another 90.

Struggle to get anything with 5K in Manchester unless it is shared ownership I think.
