PSG (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

Nobody else in the world I'd rather have at the helm. Pep has made mistakes, and he will make mistakes. He's a stubborn fucker, he is. But nobody else. Maybe — just maybe, as an outside bet — Klopp. But in the midst of this débâcle, the one thing that reassures me is that Pep is here for two more years for the rebuild.

Who on earth do people want? Chris Potter?? Eddie Howe??
If we ever hired that C**t Klopp i would stop going.

His distribution kept putting us under more pressure than necessary
His long kicks too are wasted by Erling as he is facing the wrong way, misses the header to get the ball and then codes possession. So frustrating.

I need to try and chill my beans a bit now after last night, got a lot going on, and haven't got much bandwidth left ATM to worry about next week. The season for an number of reasons is absolutely gash compared to recent years. I'm not entitled ( see my user name, so have been through it) but being outplayed and outmuscled and outfought 97 times out of hundred games is wearing me down. Concluded if they aren't trying why should I waste my precious few energy resources. Team got me through lots of things, including v recent hub cancer, but they aren't helping ATM. Apologies for the rant!!

Am I right in thinking Brugge are likely to go through regardless of the result next week? It would need Us to win, Benfica, Sporting, Stuttgart and PSG all to avoid defeat. This is assuming no massive goal difference swing with Zagreb.

I think a geezer who is sitting two rows below me had a point when he remarked some time ago, that our downward spiral started with that CL final against Inter.
I truly expected us to go large the window after the treble & start our succession planning in earnest. IIRC, the only major signings we made were Gvardiol, the panic buy Nunes & Kovacic who essentially replaced Gundog.

It seems like the club recognised the urgent need for a rebuild last summer, but Pep declined. I'm putting two & two together here, but reports suggest he was seriously considering making this his last season with us, before moving to the UAE to reunite with his wife.

Could it be that Pep wanted to leave the rebuild to a new manager, hence him turning down the opportunity & opting for one last lambada with his all conquering, but ageing squad?

The criticism of Nunes in the match thread and here is insane. He was arguably our best player. He's not a right-back. Why Pep isn't playing him in midfield where we have ZERO legs is baffling.
He's a pro footballer and as such should have basic skills like fucking tackling.

This all day long an awful lot of fair weather fans on here, to hear them call everyone of these players and our manager it's a wonder we ever won anything with how shit these players are according to some on Bluemoon.
People say what they see. Has always been the case and is why we have a fan forum. I was gutted by that performance and said so. I can assure you I’m far from fair weather.

A win for us and a draw between PSG and Stuttgart would see them, ourselves and Brugge level on points
Other results could leave a good few teams on the same points.
Time to get the abacus out
Doubtful Zagreb will overturn the GD
