City Life lists 3 that are run by the council at: Heaton Park; Cringle Park and Wythenshawe Park.

Anyone been to any of these in previous years and can recommend?

That'll be Cringle Fields (Well, thats what I know em as lol)

I can vouch for Heaton Park, very good and a fair to boot!

The Heaton Park one is alright, but not a spectacular display, to say that there'll probably be 10,000+ people all paying in/ parking their car, and the council will be charging the fair owners good money as well.

oh and beware of pickpockets :(

it's phase 3 round the ground this year so plenty of public bonfires, walked through the estate last year after a game and there were fires everywhere. People setting fire to houses next door, mental I tell thee :)
