I'm going to be in Morecambe for the first time on Friday and Saturday to attend a family friend's daughter's 18th, and to partake in the Prom Parkrun.
Do any locals have any recommendations for City friendly pubs to watch the Newcastle game, preferably somewhere that sells hand pulled beer (yes, I know I want the moon on a stick)?

Which brewery produces The Moon on a Stick ?

Actually there could well be a beer called that somewhere...

Dog And Partridge in Bare is good with plenty of screens and a good City following. Give me a shout if you’re going to be there and I’ll meet up.

If you're in the West End, go to the Exchange, plenty of ale on in there.

If in the middle, go to The Royal or to Johnny's, former is better for beer and the latter has a massive screen.

If you're up the top end, towards or in Bare, go to the Dog & Partridge, loads of screens and very cheap grub but not great hand pulls, very variable quality. However pop around the corner to the Little Bare for excellent ale

I'll probably be watching in the Dog

Thanks mate. Staying in the Travelodge so will see how much time I have left when I get back from the Parkrun.

You crawling around park run?! ;)

Others: palatine and the crown are good for a drink, crown does good food, the Morecambe Hotel does decent pints and very good pub fish and chips. The Midland is nice for a cocktail and staring at the sea. Atkinsons Cafe very good fish and chips. Mia Mio gelato is some of the best ice cream in the area.

Give the Pier, the Joiners and the Nelson a swerve. Hard no's.

My stepson is the fryer in Atkinsons and very proud of his fish and chips :)
