Anyone decided where they are drinking prior to the Wolves game.

I can't find a post on it, and realising that the next few days will be busy with a few other things happening, the most important being on Saturday, I thought it worth getting it in early.

Last time I went to Wolves it took ages to find a pub to get into. With the ground being in the town centre all the pubs have bouncers, who don't let you in with away colours/manc accent

Avoid "The Moon Under Water" in the town centre. It's the Wetherspoons and it's rough as.

If you can be bothered with the walk across town, there's a few pubs down Chapel Ash, just off the ring road. I always used the Combermere, but it's tiny. The Clarendon is a big Banks's pub just up the road though, attached to the brewery. Five mins walk from the stadium, but away from the town centre chain pubs. Haven't lived there for a few years, so don't know about whether they've introduced bouncers or away fan bans, but it seems unlikely.

i'v been asking round, and on the wolves forums ... the litten tree is the one they seem to be suggesting, never been there so i'v not much of an idea really, however it's only a 0.4mile from the ground and apparantly one of the less ''nawty'' pubs

Where Going down early, no probs getting in pubs earlier doors. find a decent boozer and stay there till kick off, worked at spurs perfectly...

Yeah we're getting down about 2pm to meet up with a mate of ours who is back there for Christmas (and a Wolves fan...should be interesting), from what i've been reading its almost impossible to find a pub down there that lets away fans in.

Before moving here, i lived in Wombourne which is a village about 6 miles from Molyneux on the A449 and dead easy to get to and from, from personal experience, i can vouch for it having some cracking boozers...

If you fancy this you lucky Blue boys, let me know and i will post the names of the best pubs in the village!

bluebricks next to the train station, its the bar of the premier inn there but really nice i had a couple on the way to the spuds game and its about 5 mins walk to the ground, got the feeling that no idiots go in in it unlike the pubs in the centre where ive had a bad experiance before......

theres a working mens down road from their main stand, cheap ale obviously, everyone was sound when weve been there.
also boozer right outside, called goal or crossbar or something, had bouncers but let us in no problem, probably as long as your not up to anything! must be a strip joint or something, unfortunately didnt see any of em,but theres hundreds of pairs of thongs etc pinned to roof!!!
theres a bar in their actual main stand aswell, season ticket holders only apparantly, only found that out once inside on our 2nd pint, talking to some lad!! in other words easy blag in,by not opening your mouth!
personally never had a problem down there.
stay away from that wetherspoons though..it stinks, and you have to wipe your shoes on way out
