the champions league, or the old European cup as i prefer to think of it,would carry far more kudos with rivals, than winning another title ,something that's been achieved three times already this decade

We have to be happy with that.

1. Still in the tie

2. If we fluke a goal at your place we could go through

3. Stadium is pretty.

Front three of Sane, Sergio, Sterling with Bernardo, KdB and Dino behind them next leg.
All out attack will get the job done

Just heading back to Manchester on the train, absolutely heaving wth united fans. Just a couple of thoughts on last night.

Firstly three players coming over to the fans at the end is disgraceful. Well done on walker, ilkay and Fernandinho. Trying to go for damage limitation in a game such as that is always hard. I understand lots of fixtures etc, we’ve not played to full last couple of games tbh but last nights game is the sort that you are preserving your 100% for. The lack of subs to freshen the team up if nothing else was frustrating, forget sane over Mahrez etc anyone would have done.thought ilkay had excellent game although not seen the highlights since.

In regards to spurs new ground atmosphere good to be fair to them, let’s see how long it lasts once honeymoon period is over. Only really had two songs. They was fighting with stewards all around who were trying to get them to sit down. City’s away section dire once again, was good in the concourse. Chinese guy in front filming whole game (especially spurs chances). African family couple of rows in front 2 adults 5 kids. Couple of Scandinavian tourists on the row in front to finish it off. None of whom should be getting tickets. Takes the enjoyment right out of these sort of games, would get more atmosphere from people sat in the local boozer.

I thought Ilkay played his socks off. Love this guy.

Was it the same armchair supporters whinging on the thread as the match was going on last night!!!! A simple yes or no will suffice???

Stadium is pretty. Access around the outside of the ground is awful for away fans, access to the stadium up the steps and in through the portable scanners was ridiculously slow and awkward. Bloody long walk to Seven Sisters after, too.

Well OK that may have been on his mind but the solution was to play rested players like Sane and KDB who had the capacity to take that game away from SPurs and kill the 2nd leg. We've made it more difficult now.

I very much doubt that Barcelona Pep would have played a game like that, and yes City are not that Barcelona side, but we are a much better side than Spurs. I think Pep overthought the game and dwelt on last season's quarter final defeat. I think uppermost in his mind was avoiding a heavy defeat and keeping us in the tie. It back-fired whatever it was he was trying to do.

Play your best players in the CL. If you don't then there's something wrong especially when you are playing Spurs.

Marv. Lets say we played Kev and Sane and still lost or god forbid they picked up injuries, what would you be moaning about then?
