Quaresma

One of those names you look at and thing "Worth a try?". Then you stop and think and about 4 teams have said exactly the same in recent years and all gotten rid of him ASAP. He actually had more talent than Ronaldo early on, a diabolical waste.
 
A pacey winger to add to the one we already have that hardly ever plays because Mancini doesn't like using wingers but prefers to use full backs resulting in said winger sitting on bench basically every game.

Great idea. Sign him up.
 
I think him and Hugo Viana were in the same U21 side that looked awesome.... both never reached the heights they should have
 
He is just what we need to break teams down. He would be much better to come off the bench late in the game then Scott Sinclair.
 
Key point being that he has just been released by Besiktas.

Mourinho sanctioned his signing for about €20m when he took over from Mancini at inter, one of his first signings, then never played him. He said of him:

And he didn't, he got loaned to Chelsea, where he played what, a handful of times?

Unless he was a Mancini signing n the pipeline at Inter,a nd just got pushed through under Jose, can't see this being of any interest to us whatsoever.

Yes but he also saw something in him that made him not play him after shelling out about 20 mil euro. He wasn't impressive when he went to chelsea and now another team has let him go so i think there are enough warning signs to make us stay clear

He's quick, skillful and is a better crosser than anyone in our squad except for Maicon

I watched videos of Samaras on YouTube and thought he was the best signing ever. Quaresma is shit and definitely not an improvement on what we have.
 
As much as a lot of fans would say we need width in our play, can we be clear.
The manager doesnt like wingers.
We have a way of playing and have been doing it for three years with varying degrees of success.
Yes we have Sinclair for the bit part role but it would need a change of managerial policy or manager to make a player like this worth buying and thats if we actually thought he was in good which posts on here so far indicate he isnt.
 
File under Saviola, Giovani, Denilson, Kerlon, Simoa, Cassano (until recently) etc. The list is more or less endless

I don't care how many fancy flicks you have or how many label you the 'new.....'. If you haven't got the application or 'it' that makes the difference at the top level then a player will never make it to the very top.

I thought Barca bought the right one when he went there and Tranny went to Utd, I think a lot probably did but it was Ronaldo's commitment and attitude that separates him and the like from Quaresma and the like
