As it was when I was born years before that and I still say I’m a Lancashire lass! Mainly I tell people I live in Lancashire! :-)When I was born in Eccles in early 1960s Eccles was in Lancashire until 1974 when it became part of Salford.

"Ticking a box" is just a dog whistle code phrase for someone not being a straight white man.
I did try to ask what exactly they meant, but as per, when you actually ask them they usually just duck it or whine about woke/PC/lefty brigade.
