Just seen some financial guy on SSN saying that if City keep on signing players of the calibre of Aguero who command wages of £100k + a week then we may fail to meet the rules of FFP.

Could we work it so that it goes throughh the books as City pay Aguero £50k a week then the other £150k a week is payed through 'other companies' stating sponsorship and image costs etc..?

All you need to know is that City have some very clever people working for them, much cleverer and brighter than Platini and his chronies

Don't worry, we have it all in hand and under control

Edited for accuracy.

A very simple reply is 'I aint got a clue' ....... but the chumps on $ky etc are there to talk up controversy and make news. City will have worked all this out long ago. They know how much they can spend, whether on wages or players and they have a plan to recoup the money ................. I hope !!!
Whilst blind faith in the Blues has not always been proved right, this is something that people cleverer than me (95% of the country) have developed as part of the overall plan. Onwards and upwards.

And if the above doesn't make sense I will have to stop drinking red wine on a Thursday.

Obviously I don't know the details of players' contracts and the mechanics of paying them but however we did it it would still be an expense in the accounts. The main reason we'd do something like that is to minimise the player's tax liability.

No, you can´t go round it like that..

As for us eventually failing to meet the FFPR criteria by paying everyone £150k a week. Yeah..it would IF our revenue growth are slower than our outlays.

He is talking shite. Uefa and Platinni are now totally quiet about the subject and have had nothing to say about the new sponsorship deal and we are on record as saying Uefa have been consulted re this and don't appear to have a problem with it. I am assuming we also made threats about law suits. We could ruin them financially if we went to law. Our resources are far greater than theirs.

Stop worrying. Much like the 25 man squad rule, FFP will turn out to be considerably less significant than it has been hyped up to be. It will be watered down into nothingness over the course of the next three years. Twatini and co are thick twats.

Most so-called financial experts on FFPR talk through their arses. UEFA don't need to look at the accounts for another two years and the transitional reliefs alone should see us through for the first two licencing seasons.

After that, our revenue will be much higher, our wage bill will have stabilised and our player amortisation charge will be significantly lower.

City are gonna have a wage budget of at least 2mill per week.
Might even be closer to 3mill.

FFP will not be a problem unless FIFA change the rules to work against us!

It was £133m in 2009/10, which is £2.5m so will be around £3m this last financial year. However it will settle down as we get rid of the players we brought in on high wages (Ade, RSC, Bridge, RSC, Bellamy, etc.). Must be about £25m there alone.

In the meantime, our revenue will increase significantly and I would expect our wages to settle around 60-65% of revenue, which is quite acceptable.

City will see the financial cost of signin' of Aguero as something that will be cancelled out when Tevez leaves , and that's why they've taken a chance on signing Aguero at this point ...... if they'd waited until January to do it , when Tevez probably departs , Aguero might well have been elsewhere by then.

Other than that the two modest signings we've made in Savic , and Clichy , appear good business and won't break the bank too much .......

i'm sure the club remain confident that they can meet Platinis regulations , and are keeping a close watch on both its outgoings , and possible income ...... but time will tell.

Won,t make any difference as the big four ie scousers rags arse and chelsea want their own breakaway with the top clubs of Europe, with rummeniger as fuhrer, well it is the only way they can put pressure on uefa to make sure we don, t progress, smell a rat anyone!
