Question Time

Lady is ‘all are the same’ after flying back in from Arizona?

No wonder she can’t make her mind up and has lost interest in who she can vote for. You realise that she can’t vote for her normal Tories because she can’t stand them now but can’t vote for Labour because she will spoil her Mrs Bouquet values.

Always about me with these people, needing their dividends and ’good accountants’ to keep them in the lifestyle they’re accustomed to.
Traditional well off tory voters have got it so good this time around. They can vote labour and have a government that will be fiscally to the right of Cameron's austerity government.

In my view she outed her own brexiteer leanings whilst exposing her political and economic ignorance with her eggs comment and even jokingly thinking there was some Brexit effect there or even believing it herself.

Does she go to France and marvel at the quality of cheap wine there or take a break in Spain and eat out enjoying decent seafood at reasonable prices and consider the benefits of EU membership?

Has this not been euthanised yet?
They’ve long since had any big hitters on; the audience is minuscule; the host is benign to the point of being little more than a mannequin with a card in her hand.
Oh for a return of “This Week”.

Do we have any big hitters left?

We do, but none of the government top brass want to face the public asking awkward questions about how incompetent and sleazy they are.
Also we would need a Robin Day/ Jeremy Paxman type of chairman.
Who would you suggest is a current sitting MP and a big hitter?

Who would you suggest as chairman in their ilk? Mathis? Derbyshire?

The pool for both seems small and diminishing.

Any minister or senior MP really. Can you imagine the scene if Gove or Braverman had to sit and take what was coming from the public.
On current form, Derbyshire looks good value, as she doesn’t take any shit from them.
Sadly a lot of political commentator types seem quite conciliatory as they don’t want to damage future career prospects by upsetting the great and the good.

Give and Braverman don’t feel shame. They’d simply stick to their script and promote whatever their masters asked of them. I wouldn’t say either were big hitters, merely high profile.

Pye would be an interesting choice of chairman,or maybe that guy in the purple velvet jacket that greets people.

It was in Wales yesterday, so the Welsh Secretary was on, with a Welsh Labour MP and the Plaid Cymru leader. Not sure why Camilla Kerslake was there though!

Next week Mogg's on as it's in Somerset. That could get lively.

Maitlis (I assume that's who was meant) isn't at the BBC any more so a non-starter.

Many of the current crop of MPs seem to believe that they can just keep talking even when they've been told to stop - that makes it very difficult. In the past, they were better behaved!
