How is it the decent looking defence of Richards - Toure - Dunne and Bridge at the start of the season has gone to crap over the past few games?

As much as I rate Hughes' signings, is it possible that the sale of Dunne was possibly the worst decision of the transfer window? Statistically Villa have one of the best defences in the league this season, which it looked like city had in the opening games?

Just like some striking partnerships just don't work, is it possible that the defensive partnership simply doesn't work and perhaps Dunne and Toure would have made an excellent combination with a far higher level of experience between the two?

Dunne still hasn't scored his allocation of own goals this season ;)
