Have you noticed a change in the support you receive at home games since the club came into money? Have you noticed that fans from wider areas have began to support the club?

What is the first game you remember seeing Manchester City play in?

If there was one player you could take from the current Sunderland side to play for Manchester City, who would it be?

Ex-Sunderland manager Peter Reid is thought of fondly by Sunderland fans after he took the club to their most successful Premier league finishes ever. What is your opinion on the former City player and manager?

Niall Quinn is a Sunderland and Man City legend also and is regarded probably more highly than any ever former Sunderland player. What is your opinion on the big man?

Do you really think that you can challenge for the league title eventually, or do you perhaps feel that, like Real Madrid did years ago, just spending loads of money doesn't necessarily determine that the team will work well together?

What are your hopes for your club this season, what is the minimum achievement you expect from Mancini?

What are your thoughts on Sunderland AFC?

What is your prediction for the game?

What are your memories of past Sunderland Vs Manchester City games?

Manchester City player Nedum Onuoha recently joined Sunderland on a season long loan, what can we expect from him?

Not really, we've always had supporters from different parts of the country, though most are from the 'local' area.

What is the first game you remember seeing Manchester City play in?

v QPR 1988

If there was one player you could take from the current Sunderland side to play for Manchester City, who would it be?

Gordon as back up, if Given goes.

Ex-Sunderland manager Peter Reid is thought of fondly by Sunderland fans after he took the club to their most successful Premier league finishes ever. What is your opinion on the former City player and manager?

Loved him, got dicked royally by agent Maddock and polyester suit man Swales.

Niall Quinn is a Sunderland and Man City legend also and is regarded probably more highly than any ever former Sunderland player. What is your opinion on the big man?

Legend. Any forward who saves a penalty whilst at the same time wearing disco pants, is a complete legend! Wish we could have had a Phillips to play off him.

Do you really think that you can challenge for the league title eventually, or do you perhaps feel that, like Real Madrid did years ago, just spending loads of money doesn't necessarily determine that the team will work well together?

Only time will tell. Too early this season though.

What are your hopes for your club this season, what is the minimum achievement you expect from Mancini?

3rd would be a success, along with a trophy. Anything less would be a failure based on the money spent and the template, (6th and a semi final), set by Hughes.

What are your thoughts on Sunderland AFC?

Nice ground. Went for your first league game v us.

What is your prediction for the game?

Can't see anything but a City win.

What are your memories of past Sunderland Vs Manchester City games?

The return of SWP, being cold in the SoL when we went years ago.

Manchester City player Nedum Onuoha recently joined Sunderland on a season long loan, what can we expect from him?

Solid performances. Hope he does well.

Have you noticed a change in the support you receive at home games since the club came into money? Have you noticed that fans from wider areas have began to support the club?
I haven't noticed that much of a change, still the same guys around me all just a lot more confident of going out getting the win. Playing squad seems to have got a bit better since 2006/7 too.

What is the first game you remember seeing Manchester City play in?
I believe it was City vs Spurs at home back at Maine Road, we won 5-2. Would have been 22nd Oct 1994.

If there was one player you could take from the current Sunderland side to play for Manchester City, who would it be?
That Nedum Onuoha looks quality, cheeky £10 million bid? But seriously, if it were to be anyone probably Darren Bent.

Ex-Sunderland manager Peter Reid is thought of fondly by Sunderland fans after he took the club to their most successful Premier league finishes ever. What is your opinion on the former City player and manager?
I like the guy, I believe he was ousted as City manager back in the Swales era, and Brian Horton was brought in to replace him after the first 6 games of the season didn't go too well.

Niall Quinn is a Sunderland and Man City legend also and is regarded probably more highly than any ever former Sunderland player. What is your opinion on the big man?
I think Niall Quinn is a legend and always will be in the hearts of City fans, I'm pleased to see that he is doing well as Chairman of Sunderland, keeping the books straight and providing funds for acquisitions.

Do you really think that you can challenge for the league title eventually, or do you perhaps feel that, like Real Madrid did years ago, just spending loads of money doesn't necessarily determine that the team will work well together?
In 3 years we'll have won the league, I'm certain of that, it could be this season, it could be next. We'll get very far in the Europa league this year too and possibly pick up a domestic trophy.

What are your hopes for your club this season, what is the minimum achievement you expect from Mancini?
Minumum is top 4 for me and a trophy, e.g. FA Cup, or Carling Cup.

What are your thoughts on Sunderland AFC?
There could be worse clubs out there, very passionate fans, decent stadium, decent chairman. Went up in my estimations when they sanctioned the Fulop loan last season. So for that I thank you. All in all a good team with good support, who could be challenging for Europe this year.

What is your prediction for the game?
Considering we still haven't conceded in the league I'll go for 0-3 City.

What are your memories of past Sunderland Vs Manchester City games?
Back when you were getting relegated with the leagues lowest ever points tally, just remember hearing your fans chanting "attack attack" you were losing 3-0 at Maine Road at the time. Have been to a few games at Stadium of Light, most recently the 1-1 draw last year. Another one that springs to mind is Vassell's last minute ball scoop into the net for us to win it 2-1.

Manchester City player Nedum Onuoha recently joined Sunderland on a season long loan, what can we expect from him?
Ned is a good lad, has City at his heart, it's a shame there isn't a place for him in RM's side this season. Ned is a very smart lad went through university while at City, paid for by City. You expect a very good performance and he's very confident on the ball, always good in the air and a good tackler which always helps a defender :)

P.s. see you all next sunday.

Have you noticed a change in the support you receive at home games since the club came into money?
This season we seem to have more support. Not sure if they are just hangers on but a lot of Johnny come latelys around!!
Have you noticed that fans from wider areas have began to support the club?
Not sure if you mean wider areas as in areas of the country or ‘sociologically’ but last night the group with their blankets and fake fur coats were being commented on by the hardy souls who have been in the same season ticket seats for 6 years!! We reckoned they were probably the prawn sandwich brigade along for the ride!!

What is the first game you remember seeing Manchester City play in?
Can't remember who we played but it was back in 1956!! The most memorable though was the last Manchester Derby that Bobby Charlton played in at Maine Road. I took my two lads and that was their first City game.

If there was one player you could take from the current Sunderland side to play for Manchester City, who would it be?
I would love Nedum Onohua back please.

Ex-Sunderland manager Peter Reid is thought of fondly by Sunderland fans after he took the club to their most successful Premier league finishes ever. What is your opinion on the former City player and manager?
He did well but was treated badly.

Niall Quinn is a Sunderland and Man City legend also and is regarded probably more highly than any ever former Sunderland player. What is your opinion on the big man?
An absolute LEGEND (an overused word but definitely applies to Niall) not just as a footballer but as a man, he is a pure gentleman. I met him in Ireland once at a family occasion and he was so down to earth and a really lovely man.

Do you really think that you can challenge for the league title eventually, or do you perhaps feel that, like Real Madrid did years ago, just spending loads of money doesn't necessarily determine that the team will work well together?
We will see what happens as the season progresses, if they keep up the standard from last night then we will definitely challenge.

What are your hopes for your club this season, what is the minimum achievement you expect from Mancini?
Any trophy, but I would love the Carling Cup, especially after last season's disappointment.

What are your thoughts on Sunderland AFC?
Good ground, friendly fans.

What is your prediction for the game?
I never predict because I get too worked up!!

What are your memories of past Sunderland Vs Manchester City games?
Just good matches and friendly fans.

Manchester City player Nedum Onuoha recently joined Sunderland on a season long loan, what can we expect from him?
Another true gentleman, friendly, approachable and a great player, very under rated. As I said earlier can we have him back please? :-)

Have you noticed a change in the support you receive at home games since the club came into money? Have you noticed that fans from wider areas have began to support the club?
not really, we have always had good support, though perhaps a few will come out of the woodwork
What is the first game you remember seeing Manchester City play in?
city-leeds 69/70
If there was one player you could take from the current Sunderland side to play for Manchester City, who would it be?
bent, he`s quality, why he never went to SA I will never understand
Ex-Sunderland manager Peter Reid is thought of fondly by Sunderland fans after he took the club to their most successful Premier league finishes ever. What is your opinion on the former City player and manager?
love the guy
Niall Quinn is a Sunderland and Man City legend also and is regarded probably more highly than any ever former Sunderland player. What is your opinion on the big man?
niall quinn is a true gentleman, and was a decent player.
Do you really think that you can challenge for the league title eventually, or do you perhaps feel that, like Real Madrid did years ago, just spending loads of money doesn't necessarily determine that the team will work well together?
this season will be won by chelsea, of that I am sure, 2nd is a strong possibility. the team shows signs of gelling already, in 3-4 games time I think we will be v tough to beat
What are your hopes for your club this season, what is the minimum achievement you expect from Mancini?
a trophy, or two, would be nice, but finishing above the rags would suffice
What are your thoughts on Sunderland AFC?
always prefered sunderland to the geordies, would be nice to see them top 8 this season
What is your prediction for the game?
I expect city to win 0-1 or 0-2
What are your memories of past Sunderland Vs Manchester City games?
we always seem to do well against sunderland, trying to think of the last time you beat us?
Manchester City player Nedum Onuoha recently joined Sunderland on a season long loan, what can we expect from him?
you got a good man there, sure he will do well for you.

Have you noticed a change in the support you receive at home games since the club came into money? Have you noticed that fans from wider areas have began to support the club?

I have noticed that a fair few fans from other countries have become regulars at the stadium but then again that may be ebcause of the Universities and people just wanting to go and see a game. I think we're generating interest nationally and more and more Official Supporters Clubs are being formed in Britain and abroad.

What is the first game you remember seeing Manchester City play in?

It was the Manchester derby 1993/94 when we were 2-0 up and subsequently lost 3-2. I'd only just started to get into football as a 7 year old then and was enthralled and ended up devestated with the result.

If there was one player you could take from the current Sunderland side to play for Manchester City, who would it be?

It would probably have been Cana or Jones but they've now both moved on. I'd take Bent though if he could keep up his goalscoring exploits.

Ex-Sunderland manager Peter Reid is thought of fondly by Sunderland fans after he took the club to their most successful Premier league finishes ever. What is your opinion on the former City player and manager?

He was just before I really got into the game and am too young to really remember. I've got a lot of respect for the bloke, plus he lives near me and is a nice guy so I like him!

Niall Quinn is a Sunderland and Man City legend also and is regarded probably more highly than any ever former Sunderland player. What is your opinion on the big man?

Absolute legend and all round top, top man. Cannot speak highly enough of him.

Do you really think that you can challenge for the league title eventually, or do you perhaps feel that, like Real Madrid did years ago, just spending loads of money doesn't necessarily determine that the team will work well together?

Maybe not this season but I think the team and management can use all the negative press we've been receiving to become a more tight knit group and work together to prove people wrong. I'd certianly say within 2-3 years we'll have either come very close or won the title.

What are your hopes for your club this season, what is the minimum achievement you expect from Mancini?

I think the minimum achievement is top 4 and Champions League football. I think we'll come 3rd this season if we can turn last seasons draws into wins and some of the losses into draws. A cup victory would be nice but I'm not holding my breath!

What are your thoughts on Sunderland AFC?

I think this season will be interesting with all the comings and goings so you may be similar to us with regards to finding your best team and gelling them together. They're a well supported club and the fans are loyal which reminds me of City and our fans. The one thing I worry about is Steve Bruce because that man has no loyalty whatsoever.

What is your prediction for the game?

Sunderland 0-2 City. Goals from Tevez and Yaya Toure.

What are your memories of past Sunderland Vs Manchester City games?

Belting 4-3 last season and who can forget Darius Vassell's thunderbolt of a finish with his studs a few years back?

Manchester City player Nedum Onuoha recently joined Sunderland on a season long loan, what can we expect from him?

A reliable defender who can perform well at both right back and centre back.

Have you noticed a change in the support you receive at home games since the club came into money? Have you noticed that fans from wider areas have began to support the club?

Not at all, we've always had City fans coming a long way

What is the first game you remember seeing Manchester City play in?
vs Newcastle, 1975 - thanks for Dennis Tueart in that one!

If there was one player you could take from the current Sunderland side to play for Manchester City, who would it be?
Nedum Onouha - I'd have him back like a shot

Ex-Sunderland manager Peter Reid is thought of fondly by Sunderland fans after he took the club to their most successful Premier league finishes ever. What is your opinion on the former City player and manager?
He moulded a side that played football in the Wimbledon way - with his backroom staff of Sam Ellis. It won us games but the football was not of the highest quality - typically it was Curle launch ball, Quinn head down, White run in from wing and finish it. However he gave us our highest league position in a long while and I wasn't entirely happy with the way he was replaced.

Niall Quinn is a Sunderland and Man City legend also and is regarded probably more highly than any ever former Sunderland player. What is your opinion on the big man?
Legend. I had a great night out with him and the other City players on their pre-season tour of Germany in the early 90s - fantastic

Do you really think that you can challenge for the league title eventually, or do you perhaps feel that, like Real Madrid did years ago, just spending loads of money doesn't necessarily determine that the team will work well together?
I think we've been a little bit cannier than that - the spine of the team is truly excellent - and they are all young so can grow into it so yes, I believe we can challenge for the title, maybe not this season but next season definitely

What are your hopes for your club this season, what is the minimum achievement you expect from Mancini?
third in the league, meaning straight into the Champions League and a domestic cup - although I think we may be looking forward to a great night out in Dublin too

What are your thoughts on Sunderland AFC?
love your chairman - hate your manager

What is your prediction for the game?
City win

What are your memories of past Sunderland Vs Manchester City games?
obviously AJs goal last season was the first thing that sprung to mind there

Manchester City player Nedum Onuoha recently joined Sunderland on a season long loan, what can we expect from him?
athleticsm, speed, the odd misplaced place pass but solid enough - I'd have him back as a backup in an instant

Have you noticed a change in the support you receive at home games since the club came into money? Have you noticed that fans from wider areas have began to support the club?

Yes, but not significantly just yet. I've always had a lot of respect for City fans from outside Manchester who have taken it upon themselves to follow the club when they could easily have chosen an easier and more fashionable option. It's inevitable that the coming years will attract fairweather fans to the club but it's a mark of success really.

What is the first game you remember seeing Manchester City play in?

A 0-0 bore draw at home to Leeds in the 95/96 season (the year we were relegated under Alan Ball). I remember being in awe at how far our German goalkeeper Ike Immel could kick the ball from his goal kicks. That's about it really.

If there was one player you could take from the current Sunderland side to play for Manchester City, who would it be?

Probably Darren Bent. His goalscoring pedigree from his Charlton days and now for yourselves speaks for itself. There must have been times last season when Spurs wished they'd kept hold of him. Jordan Henderson also looks a promising youngster.

Ex-Sunderland manager Peter Reid is thought of fondly by Sunderland fans after he took the club to their most successful Premier league finishes ever. What is your opinion on the former City player and manager?

He's from an era slightly before my time so it's difficult for me to comment. I was fortunate enough to ask him a question on BBC Radio Manchester's City dedicated show Blue Tuesday last year and he was a true gentleman. Definitely one of football's nice guys.

Niall Quinn is a Sunderland and Man City legend also and is regarded probably more highly than any ever former Sunderland player. What is your opinion on the big man?

Quinninho was probably one of my first City heroes. I was always the tallest lad in the playground at school so always used to assume the Quinn role during playground kick abouts. I think he was as devastated as we were following relegation in '96, which was good to see.

Do you really think that you can challenge for the league title eventually, or do you perhaps feel that, like Real Madrid did years ago, just spending loads of money doesn't necessarily determine that the team will work well together?

It's a popular and increasingly infuriating misconception that we are simply throwing money at players in the hope that one day the wind will change and they'll suddenly morph into a team. Roberto Mancini is a clever guy and a much better manager than anyone has given him credit for. He's signed six quality players this summer and significantly strengthened our weaknesses from last season. The emphatic win over Liverpool was just the beginning and even the doubters and pessimists are beginning to see that Bobby's vision is taking shape.

We will challenge for the league title, and we'll do it sooner than you think.

What are your hopes for your club this season, what is the minimum achievement you expect from Mancini?

The absolute minimum expectation is a top four finish. If Mancini is unable to achieve that then he doesn't deserve the job. We're also in desperate need of some silverware to get the ball rolling and anything will do.

I fancy us to win the Europa League and perhaps challenge for the Carling and FA Cups as well. Call me crazy, but I don't think winning the league title is beyond the realms of possibility either. Feel free to remind me of these comments in May when we're relegated.

What are your thoughts on Sunderland AFC?

A good, honest club with great fans and a great stadium. Mackems over Geordies any day of the week.

What is your prediction for the game?

It's going to be tough and it's only a matter of time before we start conceding goals. I'm going to say City to win 1-2 or 2-3.

What are your memories of past Sunderland Vs Manchester City games?

We've probably beaten you more times than any other club in my City supporting career so my memories are very fond. The best memory would probably be the return of Shaun Wright Phillips in our 0-3 win at your place a couple of seasons back. I had a great day out that day and still have the scar on my shin as a reminder of my over enthusiastic goal celebrations.

Manchester City player Nedum Onuoha recently joined Sunderland on a season long loan, what can we expect from him?

I've always been a big fan of Nedum's but unfortunately I just don't see him becoming the top class player we need for where we're going. He was more often than not deployed as a full back during his time here but I've always seen him as more of a centre half. He's lightning quick, strong and good in the tackle and I wish him the best of luck wherever his career takes him.
