Quitting social media

so, I've come to the conclusion that social media is somewhat unhealthy. I literally spend hours a week arguing on sports forums, stalking exes, and perving in there. Also, I've decided that if some one wants to contact me they can do so its time to stop broadcasting life via the Internet. It is hard however, like a drug one day in and I want to log onto Facebook and see what's going on! How many of you guys have shunned Facebook etc and are reaping the rewards for doing so?

I deleted Facebook and Twitter in the summer.

I feel so much better for it.

The bad news for you lot is I come on here more now.

I think if you take social media seriously enough to announce an intent, or feel the need to 'quit' it, you probably have bigger problems.

It's amazing how it relieves you of plenty of fucks you used to give. Not forgetting the free time you realise you never had before.

Could you please explain your theory on this I'm intrigued?

The majority of people who post regularly on Facebook do it because they're self obsessed.
