Almost Davy, but all the good work on the training ground can blow up in yer face if we get a ref who will be conned by the likes of Valencia, a linesman like the one we got Saturday whose only hope of a bit of fame is to give a pen the ref hasn't seen, or a ref who will perjure himself and contribute to a three match ban for one of our stars. I would like to know of a mathematical formula for calculating what percentage of what happens on the pitch is down to one team. Some might call it in-built pessimism but it's bloody real to anyone watching.

Just wish it was as simple as winning the rest of the matches!

true, i would say as long as we dont lose our 2 home games against villa and spurs then its fine. then again with us being at home do you reckon we should just go for the killa and try and beat them? i accept that we may be cheated by the ref. after all we should have an extra point from the hard earned draw at old trafford.

I thought the same. Very odd statement. Also thought it was strange to basically say that our signings have been horrific. I know we all have varying opinions on the transfer business last summer but I think, by and large, we signed pretty decent players and the fact that we have gone from 10th(?) last season to their favourites for 4th means the signings can't have been that bad, surely.

Watched Villa v Wolves. MON thought Villa were magnificent. They were not. And you can see what Wenger meant when he described them as a long ball team. Everything goes down the wings and into the box asap. Great deliveries into the box, but they do not play through the midfield at all.

I'm in total agreement with Dave Ewing's Back Header re dodgy officials. This is the only thing we cannot legislate against. We can do our best on the training ground with set-pieces, formations etc, and we can go out and play our matches in order to win the games fairly and squarely, but it only takes one fucking bent twat of a ref and that's it, we're scuppered, and there's absolutely nothing we can do about it - except come on forums like this and moan.
