Sorry if already a thread on the subject. But lookin at the Real Betis situation and the talk of coming down harder on clubs, do you think FIFA should potentially punish national sides by docking points from international competitions should that nations FA fail to do something about the problem?

Ban on fans, maybe 3 games, dock points off the club. It sickens me. Fucking imbeciles.

It's very simple what FIFA have to do and it's hit them where it hurts. Huge fines which really hurt the club. You cannot stop people being racist, but if the clubs are being hit with fines that actually effect their finances then you can bet they will try and stop it. Next step is banning teams from Europe.

On balance, no. Punishment should be closer to home, i.e. at club level.

If a particular nation had loads of clubs persistently offending, maybe their FA should receive a very heavy fine. If that didn't work, then a potential ban.

As a last resort, shutting them out feels more appropriate than points docking. It says "we don't want you" as opposed to "we're making it harder for you to win anything".

Games behind closed doors is the appropriate punishment. Docking points , regardless of the offense committed, makes a mockery of the game. Would you enjoy a title won because a superior team had points docked?

The punishment should hit the perpetrators and not the players, clubs or federation (although the club would suffer somewhat from lost gate revenue).

If a precedent was set involving docked points it would only be a matter of time before it was abused.

Monkey chants at one of there own players

I seriously wonder what planet some football fans are on.

Relegate them 4 divisions and see what the fans think about that.

This is the only approach to take. It won't eradicate it because some national governing bodies and clubs in certain nations don't give a shite, but at least the morons won't have their behaviour broadcast continent-wide on matchdays.
