One of my colleagues has been told this morning she is being investigated for 'racist comments'.

She has used the phrases 'the Italian one' and 'the dark skinned one' when previously describing two clients to colleagues and one of these colleagues has blown the whistle on her. The clients in question - one is Italian, the other is dark skinned (black).

What do you think? Are these really 'racist comments'?

No they're not but no doubt they'll get the book thrown at them anyway. Whoever grassed them in for that needs a slap.

Sounds a bit harsh. When speaking about British clients does she describe them for example as the Manchester one? or the white skinned one from Scotland?
