That's bullshit mate. De Rossi is Roma through and through hence why he didn't wanna leave. Falcao has been at Madrid for just over 12 months and will wanna play at the top. Us Barca and Chelsea are the 3 he'd (IMO) go to and Athletico Madrid are skint they wouldn't turn down 40m.

Its very obvious that's why. We would need to move Dzeko on and quickly which wont happen as we will not get the price we want without hard negotiation. Presumable Dzeko and Falcao will be European cup tied by January. Chelsea will be desperate by January and will splash the cash again, if Real come in neither team would have a chance. So we would have to wait until summer assuming he is still at Atletico by then. Okay not fuck all chance but extremely limited at best

Real tried to come in for Aguero aswell. Athletico will NOT sell to their arch rivals. Aguero has a clause in his contract where he cannot sign for Madrid within 2 years of joining City.

Could we sign him in Jan and leave him on loan at Athletico until the summer if we don't sell Tevez, Dzeko or Balotelli during January ?

Would be nice to have Aguero, Falcao and one other as our top three choice strikers.

If we then brought in Ronaldo next summer the team would be much stronger for European competition, and our profile would raise significantly.

We will need a long term replacement for Yaya in the next couple of years, because he'll be 31 by then, hopefully we will have a young player at the club who can fulfill this role and we can then trim the wage bill further in a couple of years.
