So where is the guarantee Liverpool will finish fourth Rafa? 6 points behind us with us having a game in hand, do you still fancy your chances? I think this will spell disaster for the club. Torres and Gerrard could leave, Carragher isn't getting any younger either and these are the spine of the club!

Unless new owners come in, I can see that sort of money going towards the debt aswell. Could we really see the five time winners of the European Cup and team that finished 2nd last season totally dismantled and fade away into mid-table abyss?

If Rooney had had the injuries that Torres had had where would they be?

Chelsea have strength in depth. So do City. Arsenal have numbers in midfield, but not elsewhere, and Utd are down to the bare bones. Top 4 are all very much weaker than they were whilst the rest of Europe's elite teams have been investing as usual in their squads. Result is they are all looking fragile

Bentiez is a defensive coach, but he's a good coach. However I think he will leave in the Summer....if they don't get 4th. Looks highly unlikely that they can still get 4th, but they still have a little hope

Would it be the end of the world if they didn't get 4th? Depends on their finances.

Do they have young players in the squad ready to come in for Carragher and Gerrard? Not from what I have seen. Another top 4 team that needs a re-building job over the Summer and isn't going to get it

They'll have to pull their fingers out to get 6th - with Villa having a game in hand 7th is probably more realistic. Is that even good enough for Europa League?
