Yeah, no shit, but when you're looking for a striker, you're looking for goals. 2 in 29 is dreadful.

Sterling has 2 goals in 39 senior appearances, does that mean he can't score at club level? No.

You're looking at kids playing way above their age groups and wondering why they arne't scoring every game. Leao was put in the Portugal u21's 4 months after he turned 18. Pellegri was in Italy's u16's as a 14 year old.

Goal records at international youth level mean absolutely fuck all.

Sterling is a winger who had been classed as a poor finisher by the majority (City fans included) before the previous season. You're right that if they see something special and push them up an age group, it can harm their output, but on paper it doesn't look good.
 
Will be interesting to see how Bruno de Carvalho getting the boot will affect this. Some talk that the players who rescinded their contracts would come back if he was to leave but that obviously won't be happening for all of them with Rui Patricio joining Wolves.
 
Apparently we are willing to pay a fee despite him being able to walk on a free? Could be a good idea sporting push him in our direction, keeps a good relationship with them and we avoid being caught in an legal challenge that sporting is bound to try in the near future can't lose half your squad without at least putting up a fight but 22.5 mil is a fair amount to pay.
 
heard city would offer some money to sporting....hope he is as good as others are hyping him to be

Rafael is gonna go back to Sporting just so they can get a fee for him but he won’t be going back to the team. His lawyer said he’s received death threats to him and his family because he was one of the few to recognize some attackers and he was living at the academy. Lawyer also confirmed they’ve never had contact with Benfica, another report said that he would only be going abroad based on the threat of his life if he moved to a rival.
