Give it up man, I saw your post where you claim they taught the other chap, how to develope a touch.

Any one that's played the game will tell you that it can improve slightly. However there is an inate ability that some players have and no matter how much training you do, there is a level you can't transcend.

Pep will tell you the same thing,

you can improve your techniques however your touch and vision is something you are born with, you either have it or don't have it.

Except Pep literally won't say the same thing because as stated in interviews with them which I quoted, they fundamentally beilieve thar technique can be improved at any age.

For the life of me, I can't fathom the ignorance needed to say "no he wouldn't say that"
When there's literally interviews with his closest assistants saying that's what he believes.

Touch is a technical skill. Vision is something Sterling already possesses as people should have seen from watching him here but was evident from the time he started playing regularly from Liverpool as shown by the video someone linked above.

It really is a tragedy how many blues have bought into the bullshit narrative that surrounded Sterling in the ftermath of his move and last summer. At least the manager has faith in him -that's the same manager who reportedly approved the transfer, which must seem strange to you lot seeing as you think Sterling is technically incapable of playing well in a Guardiola side. I wonder why he'd approve of the transfer of such a player? either he knew he was technically good enough to fit in, or he thought he could be improved to be good enough.

You have absolutely zero idea what you're talking about.

First of all, Pep will not tell you the same thing. He will fundamentally disagree with you. I would have thought the source of the quote would have helped you grasp that one.

Second of all, you're saying Eric Abidal (aka: "the other chap") didn't improve his technique significantly in the latter stages of his career? Because all the evidence would suggest otherwise.

I admire your confidence for starting off with "give it up", though. Especially when you follow that up with baseless cliches that I presumed were lying dorment somewhere inside Robbie Savage's discarded ponytail.

of course your technique improves if you practice, particularly your touch. Even your vision can be improved by seeing the game in a different light and listening to alternate views.

It's called learning.

Not to mention playing alongside, and learning from, better players.

It's absolutely ridiculous to believe it a certainty that a player can't and won't improve aspects of their game which they will practise nearly every day for the next ten years.

You mean the same areas of the game he will have been practicing every day for the past 10 years?

I completely disagree with this summation of Sterling, but instead of arguing, I'll just mention that our manager and his staff fundamenraly disagree with your assumptions about improving his touch, passing etc. And so the rest of your point is moot anyway.

But what do they know? ;)

To be honest I reallly don't care if you disagree because you are renowned for it on here. You could cause an argument in an empty phone box. If someone has an opinion you can guarantee that you will be along at some point to disagree with your superior footballing knowledge. You carry on pal.

What has sane shown in his games that makes you believe he has a better 1st touch or ability to play intricate passes than sterling. genuine question and not a dig at sane as I believe he is slightly the better and looks more natural player on the ball but sterling is more than capable of playing in tight spaces and certainly has a good first touch, better than at least 90% of wingers in the league. This idea that sterling is just a pace merchant who's good at beating players couldnt be far from the truth as anyone who saw him playing as a 10 for liverpool will tell you. You only need to look at the video below of him at 19 and its quite clear he has way more to his game than you give him credit for

You've posted a video of his best ever season, as I have said previously that was for someone else. People are expecting some exponential improvement in the next 2 or 3 years despite he's had little to no improvement in the past 3 years. What is clear is he has something to offer, namely goals and assists. Those expecting him to influence a game like Messi are pissing in the wind because he just doesn't have the required attributes.
