Good point.....no doubt credit to Sterling for getting in position.....which is half the battle.

9/10ths of the battle more like.

Sterling has improve his finishing to OK this season and he'll be knocking on the door of 30 goals.

In a few more seasons when his finishing continues to improve and hes got the deep rooted confidence from a few seasons of scoring big numbers, he could score as many as he likes.

You couldn’t write the script. Almost identical opportunity to the one he fluffed, and he scores 2 minutes into the game. Thought he was good and caused them problems for most of the match.

What a season he's having. 20 goals and 7 assists in 35 matches and that doesn't include penalties won. If he could finish the season with 25 and 10 that would be a great return, especially when you consider he's only just turned 23.

With the amount of games we have left and the amount of positions Sterling gets into to score I would expect another 10 goals from him this season.

30 goals would really be remarkable and give him even more confidence to push on next season but even if he doesn’t score again he would have had an amazing season.

So happy for him to make amends for his miss last game. A top player and only going to get better.

One more league goal to match Hazard’s best return ever but of course you won’t hear that mentioned anywhere.
